Hello, my name is Amogh Khaparde. I am a machine learning engineer who has a passion for biology, neuroscience, and computer science. I will be graduating from University High School in 2025. I've been mostly self-taught in machine learning and have always wanted to build machine learning models to benefit all of society.I plan to work at OpenAI or Google in order to work on LLMs such as ChatGPT and Sora in order to advance the field of AI with like-minded peers. I've completed research under the guidance of Professor Hochgraf from Rochester Institute of Technology while I completed my 11th grade project and Joe Xiao while I completed my 12th grade project. I plan to continue doing so at college in groups under the guidance of other mentors. While most of my achievements are related to computer science, I still have a passion for neuroscience and biology. After working on "Medical Neuroscience" with Professor Leonard White from Duke University, I want to continue to expand my knowledge and perhaps recieve a degree in biology or neuroscience in order to combine both of my interests in computer science and life science.

I learned Java outside of school and in APCSA, where I built multiple projects, the most impressive being the Chess game (linked below). As such, I have plenty of experience in Java.

I have used Godot in my game design class to build games such as Wordle. This is one of the ways I express my creative side.

Tensorflow
Tensorflow is the machine learning library I used to build my ASL to speech interpreter (linked below). I fully understand its functions and capabilities and plan to use it to make more real world applications

I used PyTorch to build my encoder-only transformer model for sentiment analysis for businesses (linked below) and fully understand its functions and capabilities and plan to use it to make more real world applications

I used PHP to build the backend for a facebook clone. I used it to store user information such as their name, age, friends, posts, etc. I have plenty of experience in PHP and can use it for more web based projects.

I mostly used javascript to help build animations for my website and my facebook clone. While I used Javascript multiple times, I am still learning it and will ensure that I am proficient soon.

I built a Facebook clone to demonstrate my skills in PHP, HTML, CSS3, and Javascript. The platform stores your data, allows you to post, add friends, see and comment on your friend's posts, add a profile picture, and more!

Computer vision fire detector
The project was the beginning of my machine learning research. I built a convolutional neural network model that will alert authorities when a fire is detected from cameras (that are already installed in most national parks).

Effect of timing of fertilzation on nearby water
This project marked the beginning of my research journey. I experimented with patches of grassland to prove the effects of poor fertilization timing (right before it rains) on groundwater and the surrounding environmnt.
